With all the recent changes along Richmond’s Alexandra Road, this one feels especially comforting.
In the past little while, we’ve seen several closures on Eat Street — including Little Karp, Manzo Izakaya, and Seto Japanese Restaurant. So seeing a familiar name return to its roots is a welcome bit of stability.
Cherry’s Food House has officially announced that they’re bringing back their original Korean-Chinese fusion menu.
Korean-Chinese Fusion is Back
Last September, we reported that the restaurant was ending that concept and switching to a more self-serve, food court-style setup focused on cheaper Sichuan-style eats. But this week, they shared on Instagram that they’re returning to what made them popular in the first place.
In their announcement, they wrote:
“We’ve been listening… and we didn’t miss a thing. No matter what we explored, one thing stayed constant — you kept coming back for the flavours that made us us.
So we’re making it official.
Our Korean-Chinese fusion roots are calling us home — bold, comforting, and exactly what you’ve been asking for 🔥
This isn’t going backwards. This is locking in on what we do best.”
Fans in the comments were quick to celebrate the return.
Reopening Promotion
To celebrate the return of their original menu, Cherry’s Food House is also running a limited-time promo.
Spend $50 or more and you’ll get a free appetizer from their snack menu.
The options include:
Spicy rice cake
Kimchi pancake
Takoyaki
Deep fried oyster
Salad
Deep fried mini crab
The promotion runs until April 30.
After a wave of closures and changes along Eat Street, Cherry’s returning to its Korean-Chinese fusion roots feels like a familiar favourite coming back — and judging by the reaction online, it’s something a lot of people have been waiting for.
