Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.

Earlier this week, we were all happily reporting on the new Caramel Brownie Sundae hitting the food court, but now we’ve got some “not-so-happy” news to share. If your freezer is currently stocked with quick meals from the warehouse, you might want to put down the spoon and do a quick inventory check.

Between expanded glass concerns and new mould issues, the Costco recalls list is growing fast for March 2026.

The “Glass” Concerns: Ramen and Fried Rice

This is the big one. Ajinomoto Foods has expanded their voluntary recall because of the potential presence of glass in two very popular freezer staples.

  1. Shoyu Ramen with Chicken Bowls (Item #1162180): If you bought these between December 2024 and February 2026, check the side of the box. Any “Best Before” dates between May 24, 2026, and May 11, 2027, are part of the recall.
  2. Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice (Item #819988): This one impacts bags bought between March 2025 and February 2026. Look for “Best Before” dates from March 7, 2026, to December 22, 2026.

The good news? No injuries have been reported yet, but Costco is being super cautious—so please don’t “risk it” for a quick lunch.

The “Mould” Concern: Cheddar Chive Scones

If you’re more of a bakery person, The Worthy Crumb Cheddar Chive Scones (Item #2009626) are also on the list.

Apparently, there have been three complaints about mould growth happening way before the actual expiration date. If you picked these up between December 2025 and February 2026, you might want to inspect that container before your next brunch. It’s a “minor illness” risk, but definitely not the kind of “extra flavor” anyone asked for.

What Should You Do?

Don’t just throw them in the trash! One of the perks of that $60+ membership is that Costco is great about refunds. You can take any of these items back to your local warehouse for a full refund. No one wants to deal with glass in their ramen, so it’s worth the trip.

Have you received a recall email yet, or did you already finish the box?
