Move over, Honey Dip—there’s a new lineup in town. If you’ve been stuck in a Timbit rut lately, Tim Hortons just decided to shake things up in a big way. We’re used to seeing maybe one seasonal flavour at a time, but this time they’ve dropped four new Timbit flavours all at once.

Since we’re always looking for an excuse to eat donuts for “research,” we headed over to snag an assortment. Here’s the lowdown on the new treats and how to try them without breaking the bank.

The New Lineup

This isn’t just a slight tweak to the classics; these are actually pretty adventurous for Tims. Here is what you’ll find in the display case:

Cappuccino: A coffee-flavoured Timbit tossed in coffee-flavoured donut sugar.

Canadian Fireworks: A Birthday Cake Timbit base decked out with popping candy clusters. It’s basically a party in your mouth (literally).

Chocolate Crème Brûlée Filled: A Chocolate Timbit stuffed with Venetian cream and topped with a burnt sugar coating.

Lime Cheesecake Filled: This one is super refreshing—lime cheesecake filling with a zesty lime sugar coating.

Our absolute favourite? The Cappuccino. If your morning double-double wasn’t enough of a caffeine fix, these might just do the trick (okay, not really, but the flavour is spot on). It’s got a deep, roasted taste that isn’t overly sweet compared to the others.

The Canadian Fireworks is definitely the one for the kids (or the kids at heart) because of that popping candy sensation, while the Lime Cheesecake is a nice departure from the usual heavy chocolate options.

Pro Tip: How to Save a Few Cents

Here’s a little insider secret: if you buy these new Timbit flavours individually, they’ll set you back $0.49 each, compared to the $0.39 for a regular Honey Dip or Old Fashioned Plain.

The Hack: If you want to try them without the “premium” price tag, just order an assorted box. Usually, the staff will drop a few of the new flavours into the mix at the standard box price. We grabbed a box of 10 and managed to try all four new flavours without the extra charge.

What’s Next for Tims?

It’s fun to see Tim Hortons experimenting more lately. Between these new drops and recent news like the Eldoria BBQ closure or the Molly Tea opening, the local food scene is moving fast. It’s nice to have a reliable (and cheap) snack to grab while we’re out reporting.
